Basic Techniques (After mastering those Basic techniques 4th Kyu is approved)

KAMAE ( positioning )

(1) KIHON TACHI (basic standing stance)

(2) SHOUMEN TACHI ( front stance ) from KIHON TACHI to SHOUMEN TACHI

(3) HIDARI HANMI TACHI (left half open stance) from KIHON TACHI to HIDARI HANMI TACHI

(4) MIGI HANMI TACHI (right half open stance) from KIHON TACHI to MIGI HANMI TACHI

(5) ZAI (sitting stance) from KIHON TACHI stance to ZAI, then from ZAI to KIHON TACHI

 

Ukemi

(1) direct Ukemi

(2) rotation Ukemi

 

Hit and Kick technique

  •  How to practice

Those basic techniques should be practiced every time as a preparation exercise before KATA training. First 10 times should be done slowly so that everybody can follow the correct motion. Then next 10 times should be done quickly for the real practice. These 20 times makes a one set. Always Hit or Kick starts by right hand/leg.

  •  Practice

(1) JYODAN TSUKI upper hit,  KAMAE positioning : SHOUMEN TACHI

(2) CHUDAN TSUKI middle hit,  KAMAE positioning : SHOUMEN TACHI

(3) KASUMI KAKE,  KAMAE: positioning :SHOUMEN TACHI

(4) JYODAN UKE upper block KAMAE positioning : SHOUMEN TACHI

(5) SHUTO UCHI, KAMAE positioning : SHOUMEN TACHI

(6) SUIHEI UCHI, KAMAE positioning : SHOUMEN TACHI

(7) CHUDAN SHUTO UCHI UKE, KAMAE positioning : SHOUMEN TACHI

(8) CHUDAN SHUTO SOTO UKE, KAMAE positioning : SHOUMEN TACHI

(9) GEDAN HARAI UKE, KAMAE positioning : SHOUMEN TACHI

(10) YOKO JYUJI UKE, KAMAE positioning : SHOUMEN TACHI

(11) MAE GERI, KAMAE positioning : SHOUMEN TACHI

(12) MIGI MAWAHI KERI (right), KAMAE positioning : HIDARI HANMI TACHI
